The event's honoree was John Copper School, which built 13 homes in Montgomery County through its Habitat for Humanity program.

"The Cooper School has made an incredible contribution to Habitat," said Mizzell in the release, "with students, alumni, faculty, staff and parents dedicating their time, hard work to our cause over the last 13 years."

On April 19th, Memorial Hermann Hospital The Woodlands unveiled the new Breast and Bone Center waiting room space transformed by the In the Pink of Health committee and Woodlands Fabrics & Interiors.

In the Pink of Health committee members, physicians, hospital executives, and community supporters gathered at the center and received a two-for-one treat when the newly-redecorated Breast & Bone Center was unveiled along with the exciting news about this year's In the Pink of Health annual luncheon's keynote speakers - TV personalities Giuliana and Bill Rancic.

It was a special evening for Woodlands Fabrics & Interiors as we were recognized as a Pink Partner for our participation in the project and for our support of the cause. Thank you In the Pink and Memorial Hermann!

New for Spring & Fresh from High Point Furniture Market

Spring furniture market in High Point, North Carolina, is always one of the most inspiring markets to attend. Fresh with vibrancy and excitement, this market always inspires us to keep current with what is going on in the world of furniture, textiles and design.

This market - color is everywhere! Purple, orange and turquoise were abundant along with greys and tonal backdrops that really made these colors pop. Details, patterns and textures are impactful - great news for those of us who love variety and excitement in our decor.

New merchandise from market is already arriving daily. Stop in often to see all of our new offerings! Above are just a few photos from our trip!

Changes in Store

We are always on the move in the store - changing things every month, week, and day! Our latest move is an exciting one as we are preparing to move our seamstresses and drapery workroom to be connected to our retail store. We couldn't be more excited!

To prepare for this transition, we are merchandising our trim room throughout the store with our fabrics. We are excited to create stories with our trim and fabrics and hope that it will make your shopping experience with us even better.

We are also re-merchandising our fabric racks to showcase the exceptional selection of fabrics that we offer. Woodlands Fabrics & Interiors has exceptional quality fabric. We refuse to sell seconds, shorts or off-goods. We also strive to purchase as much American-made fabric as possible.

Routes released for Ironman Texas on May 19

The Woodlands is preparing for the second annual Memorial Hermann Ironman Texas competition. The routes for the swim, run and biking courses of the Ironman Texas on Saturday, May 19 have been released.

Like last year, athletes will begin with a 2.4-mile swim in Lake Woodlands, then a 112-mile bike course. The day ends with a 26.2-mile run course entirely within The Woodlands that concludes on Market Street.

Traffic will be impacted again during the Ironman. Last year there was congestion in the morning on Woodlands Parkway during the bike course and the run course saw slowdowns on Lake Robbins Drive, East Panther Creek, Lake Woodlands and all of Market Street.
