Nancy Charbonneau

About Nancy:Nancy has a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from Georgia Southern University with a minor in Business. She has been in the design field since graduating in 1991, and is an Allied Member of ASID, Specialist Certification from WFCP, active in the local Chamber of Commerce and the National Charity League Bluebonnet Chapter. Her experience includes working for a major model home design firm in Atlanta and an independent licensed designer in Vero Beach, Florida. She then operated an Interior Design Firm and Drapery Workroom in Atlanta for 8 years prior to opening Woodlands Fabrics & Interiors, with her husband, Dave in 1999. Nancy is also the co-founder of Charpell Luxury Interiors, a division of Woodlands Fabrics & Interiors, providing high-end luxury interior design services. Nancy has had the opportunity to work on many large design projects not just in Atlanta and Texas, but also in Cabo San Lucas Mexico, Calgary Canada, Florida and more. Nancy is also the Marketing Director for Woodlands Fabrics & Interiors.

Nancy’s Design philosophy:“I believe every space has the potential to be great. My job is to make that space live up to it’s potential by implementing good design that fits the client’s needs and budget. I approach all of my design projects in a very personal way and spend a lot of time researching, planning and implementing appropriate solutions.” Nancy’s Design Approach: It’s all in the details! My priorities for any project are to develop a design plan with conceptual photos and renderings, list goals, wants and needs, and then implement that plan over time, according to budget, to produce a beautiful end result. Nancy is Inspired by: Interior Designers like Dorothy Draper who was the first American Woman Interior Designer who paved the way for all designers today to step out and be bold and have fun with their interiors. I am inspired by Design books and magazines, museums, art and music and especially beautiful fabrics!
[Nancy's fee is $100 for a one hour in-home consultation. This fee is non-refundable. In-store consultations are complementary upon appointment.]

Cindy and I had heard of Nancy Charbonneau with Woodlands Fabrics & Interiors from a friend. We remodeled our Alden Bridge home in ’05, but we had not done any interior work to our living room. We contacted Nancy and told her we had a certain rug and chair we wanted to utilize in the room, and we agreed on a budget. Nancy proposed a very forward looking faux finish for the walls which was exceptionally attractive, particularly with the rug. The faux painter was a one woman show-quite efficient and easy to work with. The draperies, that were made, coordinated very well with the walls and rug and gave the room a dramatic old world look. We had several pieces of antique furniture acquired through the years and those items Nancy quickly saw were perfect for the room and were a good compliment to the overall desired plan. The chandelier and wall hangings selected by Nancy were beautiful compliments to that old world look we desired. Nancy and her vendors were easy to work with, highly efficient and timely. The total outlay held to the agreed budget, and a critical time frame to complete the job was met. Our experience was one of great pleasure, and we look forward to working with Nancy in the future.
